Jaz Voyeur Festival

Jazz Voyeur Festival,  established as the benchmark for high-quality jazz music in the Balearic Islands due to its remarkable trajectory, presents this 2024 edition with an artistic lineup that once again brings major national and international artists to Mallorca.

JVF, as every autumn, is integrated into the circuit of leading European festivals. This year's program—concerts, film cycles, and masterclasses—revolves around the evolution of jazz in Brazil. The maestro Egberto Gismonti will perform at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears (CSMIB) on November 24.

Additionally, during the same month of November, Es Baluard Museu will screen two films dedicated to the great Brazilian musician Tom Jobim.

Program

Film and Jazz Cycle: The seventeenth edition of the Jazz Voyeur Festival has scheduled the screening of two documentary films about Tom Jobim, the sovereign master of the transformation of Brazilian popular music, which will serve to illustrate the musical context in which the notable Brazilian artist Egberto Gismonti, part of JVF 2024, has developed. With free entry, the films will be screened at Es Baluard Museu.

Concerts: In its seventeenth edition, the Jazz Voyeur Festival highlights the evolution of jazz in Brazil with the music of Egberto Gismonti and Tom Jobim. The festival lineup consists of five dates and will take place from October 25 to December 19 in Mallorca. The artistic program includes the performance of international artist José James, who will perform in the Balearic Islands for the first time.

Masterclasses: This edition of the Jazz Voyeur Festival has scheduled three masterclasses taught by the same national and international artists featured in this year's lineup. These professional encounters provide the perfect opportunity for musicians and aspiring artists to learn firsthand all the details and intricacies of jazz. The professional sessions will take place at the Teatre Principal de Palma and Trui Teatre. Free entry.
